I’m Lynn Marie Williams, a York-based singer and songwriter with a heartfelt love for country music and feel-good classics.
From country favourites and feel-good hits of the 1950s right through to present-day chart songs, I perform a carefully chosen mix of country, pop, rock'n'Roll, folk and R&B — alongside my own original music.

Whether you’re looking for an upbeat set that fills the room with energy or a more relaxed atmosphere for guests to unwind, I tailor every performance to suit the occasion. I perform live with acoustic guitar and vocals, with high-quality backing tracks available when needed to create a full, natural sound.
For me, music has always been about connection. I love creating an atmosphere that lifts people, brings smiles, and sometimes turns a room into a chorus of voices singing along. I love sharing those moments.
Before relocating, I performed at venues within the Devon and Cornwall area of the UK, and have most recently performed regularly at a busy vibrant venue in Gran Canaria with my upbeat Country and Feel-Good set. Now based in York, I'm available to perform at venues, private events and special occasions where live music adds something truly memorable.

Bio
I grew up in a home filled with music — from rock ’n’ roll and soul to classical and country — with my parent's eclectic music tastes shaping me, country music becoming my greatest influence. The voices of Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Elkie Brooks and Elvis Presley were constant companions growing up.
Over time, my influences expanded to artists such as Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes, Sheryl Crow and Luke Combs, alongside soul and jazz influences like Etta James and Norah Jones.
Music has always felt like a universal language to me — something that connects us, comforts us and brings people together. As a solo artist, my aim is simply to share that joy and connection with every audience I perform for.

What sort of music do you perform?
I perform a wide variety of music to suit different venues and audiences — from relaxed cocktail settings to livelier bars, evening parties and special events.
My sets include country favourites, feel-good timeless hits from the 1950s through to the present day, along with pop, rock, folk, soul and R&B. I love creating the right atmosphere for each space, whether that’s uplifting and energetic or mellow and intimate.
I also include a selection of my own original songs in my performances — heartfelt pieces inspired by love, life and real experiences, written to connect on a deeper level.

How long are your performances?
Performance length can be tailored to suit your event.
A typical booking is two 60-minute sets with a short break in between, but I’m very happy to adapt depending on your needs — whether it’s a shorter acoustic session, extended evening entertainment, private function or corporate event.

Can you provide your own equipment?
Yes, I provide professional sound equipment and ambient stage lighting suitable for most venues.
My setup is designed to be high-quality yet unobtrusive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere without overpowering the space.

How much time do you need to set up?
I usually arrive around one hour before the performance to allow time for setup and sound check.
If you’re local to York, I’m happy to arrange a quick pre-visit if needed. Otherwise, we can easily discuss everything in advance via phone, WhatsApp or email to make sure the evening runs smoothly.

Do you use "backing tracks"?
I can perform fully acoustic sets using my semi-acoustic guitar and/or digital piano for a stripped-back, intimate feel.
For livelier events, I also perform with professional, licensed backing tracks to add energy and depth to certain songs. I’m always happy to mix acoustic and fuller arrangements depending on the atmosphere you’d like to create.

Fees vary depending on the type of event, location, performance length and any special song requests.
